Canadian Country singer/songwriter and pianist Nicole Rayy is a lively and strong force of musical talent. Since Rayy began writing music when she was a teenager, the core of Rayy’s music has always been, first and primary, to showcase herself as being as honest as possible.

Rayy first came on the Canadian Country Music Scene in 2012 with the release of her debut EP “Only Everything.” She recorded this EP with award-winning musician, composer and producer Lance Anderson of Cherry Beach Sound and enlisted well-known country guitarist and CCMA Hall of Fame recipient, Wendell Ferguson. “Only Everything” was a strong debut for Rayy, and it showcased the various range of emotion and vocal range throughout each song. Many Country Music Association of Ontario Award nominations had invited Rayy to perform at different festivals and venues. She has also got the chance to opened up for country music artists like Aaron Princhett and also toured across the nation and been apart of known events such as Maintoulin Country Fest, The Calgary Stampede. Rayy has also got the chance to be apart of the Canadian Country Music Week, with other country artists like Alee, Genevieve Fisher and Raquel Cole. Rayy has also got the honor to perform at the World Music Festival in Shanghai, China.

Rayy’s latest album “Dig” was produced at Noble Street Studio in Toronto, where many other well-known artists has work there. It was released in Fall 2016 and the album continues in the theme of inflexible honesty and tests listeners, as well as Rayy to dig deep down to the expressive core of themselves.

Rayy feels great on stage or in a recording studio and will never stage put in one place for a long time. She enjoys learning new things and she will always keep on writing and singing. If you enjoy Rayy’s music then check out her newest single “Fireproof” which is available on Spotify and iTunes. If you would like to find out more about Nicole Rayy then go take a look at

I was born in Texas, raised in North Carolina and lived in Louisiana before moving to Nashville. I was always in a band either playing keys or being the lead singer. I have always been a car guy and honestly thought that is what I would do for a living, flip classic cars. I still flip 3-4 per year for fun.

2.     How did you get to country music and how did you know you wanted a career in it?

I got into country music when I moved to Nashville. I listened to it as a kid off and on but dove pretty heavy in to it when I hit my 20s. I knew I wanted a career in it after living in Nashville for 2 years.

Journey, Bryan Adams, Garth Brooks, Alabama, Ronnie Milsap, The Eagles, Stevie Wonder and so many more.

4.     Can you give a little bit of a background behind your latest single which is coming out June 27th, 2017?

I took time to find a new sound for myself. Same voice, same lyrics with meaning but a different sound musically. I have went a little more pop-ish. It is called “My Song”. It is a song about music!! imagine that. It talks about what music makes you wanna do or what it can remind you of, what mood it can put you in etc. I’m excited for everyone to hear it.

5.     Where do you see yourself in the next 5 to 10 years with your music career?

In a perfect world I would have 3-4 albums under my belt, a few #1s and a few #1s as a writer for others as well.

6.     If you could sing a duet with a famous singer or group who would it be and why?

Well, Chris Cornell passed away recently but he was one of my Top 5. I would say Rob Thomas, Bryan Adams, Adele and maybe Dolly Parton would be a nice start!

7.     Is there anything else coming up with your music for the rest of 2017?

I am playing at the Buckles and Boots festival in June over in Machester, U.K. I have a good following over there and I am honored to be a part of it.

One of my producer friends in town always says, “It doesn’t get easy until it’s easy”.

1 block of cream cheese room temp.
Mix together and leave in the fridge for an hour. Then dip any kind of fruit in it 🙂

Kalsey Kulyk~ Q & A!!!

1.     Hi Kalsey, can you tell me a little bit about yourself before you became a country singer?

Well to be Honest, I’ve been singing country music since I was three years old so I really don’t know how I was before then! 🙂 but music has always been apart of my life. I could never really see myself without it.

2.     How did you get into country music and how did you know you wanted a career in it?

I grew up in a small town in Canada that had one radio station that played only Country, so I guess you could say it was that. But also, my family LOVED country music and always had it playing so I just naturally loved it as well.

3.     Who are some of your musical icons?

When I was growing up I wanted to be just like Shania! Then I got older and really appreciated the songwriters. Dolly, willie, hank and a bunch more from that time. I also have a huge love for Jackson Browne. What a poet.

4.     What is the story behind your song “Sing and Be Heard?”

Well, SING AND BE HEARD is a saying that my mom helped me come up with. I believe that every single person has a story and that they should never hold back when it comes to letting that story be told. Let your true self shine and never be ashamed of who you are.

5.     Is there anything else coming up with your music for the rest of 2017?

Actually I was Nominated for a Canadian Country Music award, for Discovery artist so I’m really excited to play at the CCMA’s this year and be involved with that. I’ve been living in Nashville for the last year and it’s been absolutely incredible getting to write with some big songwriters as well. I’ve got a lot of that going on this year as well as some red carpet events in L.A!

6.     If you could sing a duet with a famous singer or group who would it be and why?

If I could sing a duet with anyone I think I’d love to sing a song with Jason Isbell. I just love his voice and think he’s such a great singer songwriter!

7.     Where do you see yourself in the next 5 to 10 years with your music?

I just had this asked to me! I’ve made a goal list. And a few of the goals are to open up for a major country act in the next three years, be signed to a major record label with in two, release my first full length album, write a song with Travis Meadows and be a headliner in my first world tour in 7 years. Open up a dog haven for homeless dogs and give them all the love and care they need.

8.     What is one of your favorite quotes?
