Caliville~ Their Story!!!

While playing baseball for his former college for Ole Miss, Brett Yong found out he needed Tom John surgery. At this time, the Californian did not know he was a popular country musician in the making, he just knew his journey of playing Major League Baseball was over.

To close his baseball career Young move to Los Angeles to pursue music. Six years later, he took a dive again, leaving his home state to chase the dream in Nashville.

That’s Caliville. Young shares “Life can straight up suck sometimes, but it’s deciding to push through anyway that makes you strong.” Caliville showcases more than Young personal story, it is also about going after what you want and not letting people discourage you. Your journey may not start in California and it might not be about music. But if you give it all you got to make it happen, you are in a Caliville state of mind.

Co-founder Chase Lauer shares that “Caliville represents a journey, but not a physical destination.” Lauer and Young met through music, but it was Young’s work ethic and boldness that inspired the formation of Caliville, combined with a talent that made the song “Sleep Without You” a #1 even before it topped the music charts. Caliville is care free and easygoing and is happy when people do everything to make their own dreams come true. Lastly Caliville, want people to make the world they live in to be positive, stay current and enjoy this crazy ride in this world.

Thomas Rhett Drops New Single: Unforgettable

Following the announcement yesterday (July 27) that his upcoming album, Life Changes, will come out September 8, Thomas Rhett also released the follow-up single to his number one single “Cravin You” featuring the lovely Maren Morris.

Rhett wrote the song, “Unforgettable,” with some help from songwriters Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley and Shane McAnally while he was out on tour.

“Unforgettable,” is not another love song about his wife Lauren. It is about letting the person you love and care about know you still remember all the little moments that have happened since the first time you met.

As the title of the album suggests, Rhett has been going through big Life Changes. The singer and his wife adopted their first daughter Willa Gray from Uganda this year, and are expecting daughter number two sometime around August 8.

Runaway Angel: Q & A!!

1.     Hi Ladies, can you tell me a little bit about yourselves before you became a country music group?

We were all pursuing music as solo artists before we met! We all grew up loving music and although we didn’t know each other then, we feel like sisters now. Cadence is from Whitby, Ontario, Stacey is from Wardsville, Ontario and Ann is from Deep River, Ontario.

2.     How did you girls get into country music and how did you girls know you wanted a career in it?

For the most part we all grew up listening to country. We are all from small town Ontario, where you don’t even realize how much country you’re hearing! It’s on at the grocery store, the bank and school dances. As we got older we all appreciated it more and more. It very much influenced the kind of music we wrote. Being in this genre just felt right for us.

3.     How did you come up with your group name?

It wasn’t easy! We knew we wanted “Angel” in the name somehow and although a few other names were thrown around, Runaway Angel made the final cut!

4.     Where do you guys see yourselves in the next 5 to 10 years with your music?

We see ourselves busy with writing, performing and helping to nurture the Canadian music scene!

5.     Who are some of your girl musical icons?

There are so many! Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Shania Twain and Reba are a few.

6.     Is there anything else coming up new for 2017?

Yes! We are about to head to Europe. We have shows in Germany, Holland and Denmark. We also have our Sophomore album slated for release by the end of the year.

7.     What are a few of your favorite quotes?

“Coookkkiiie!” – The cookie monster

8.     If you girls could sing a duet with a famous singer or group who would it be and why?

We all love Garth Brooks, so that would be unbelievable. We would also love to sing with The Washboard Union! They are outstanding musicians and even better people.
